CHARACTERISTICS:

• Also known as Butterfly Palm or Golden Cane Palm.
• Most commonly sold in nursery containers at nurseries.
• Moderately fast grower, feather shaped leaves, yellowish through petioles and leaves.
• Off white flowers developed on 3 feet long branches, emerge from top of the stems.
• Fruit/seeds about an inch diameter, yellow to purple in color.
• Grown in clumps, numerous canes, used for screening, privacy hedge in full or partial shade.
• Cold hardiness about 28˚F, frost will burn the leaves.
