I am having a problem with my Florida home garden, the leaves of my plants look black. Why?

The black that you see is actually a mold that builds on the excretion of tiny insects.  To solve the main problem, first the insect needs to be killed.  Then you can use soap and water to wipe off the mold or in time mother nature will take care of it.
